Expecting the Unexpected

Covid-19 Response

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Veerni swiftly adapted to meet immediate needs. The girls were safely sent back to their villages, where they received study materials and hygiene kits. Food packets were also distributed to those in need as part of Veerni's outreach program. Study materials were delivered to 64 villages.

Veerni: Transforming Lives Through Education

To support education, Veerni introduced digital materials on chips and secured 90 tablets, each loaded with learning content. The "School at Doorstep" program brought education directly to the girls, with a helpline number provided for additional support.

Veerni launched a two-phase distant learning program

School at Doorsteps

Focused on 110 students in remote villages, with Veerni staff and teachers regularly visiting to provide learning materials and collect homework. Digital content was shared via WhatsApp groups for 70 girls with access to technology.

Tablet Program

Targeting girls from Class 8, to 12, providing them with tablets loaded with study materials and animated videos.

Through these initiatives, Veerni continued education in villages, expanded its outreach health program, safeguarded girls from early marriages, and demonstrated the transformative power of education.
